Trent Harmon, More Added to Nashville Celebrity Softball Game
The annual event, which takes place at First Tennessee Park on Saturday, June 10, previously announced other Nashville stars including Reba McEntire, Kellie Pickler, Lauren Alaina, Aaron Watson, Danielle Bradbery, Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth for the event, with even more talent to be announced.
The three new artists on the list offer a mix of new and experienced country stars. Harmon won Season 15 of American Idol and is one of country music’s rising stars; his latest single “Falling” reached No. 4 on Billboard’s Country Digital Songs chart.
Evans is a country music veteran best known for reaching success in the early 2000s with her hit record Born to Fly. She has recently launched a record label by the same name and will release a new album titled Words in July of 2017.
Ubiquitous radio DJ Bobby Bones is a mix of past and present, having been the star of his own syndicated Bobby Bones Show for years and recently began touring with his country/comedy band the Raging Idiots.
The celebrity game is a fundraiser for City of Hope, which is a California-based independent research and treatment center for cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening diseases. City of Hope is also a founding member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network, which provides research and treatment protocols throughout the world.
Fans can purchase tickets ($15, $35) to the 27th annual City of Hope Celebrity Softball Game at ticketmaster.com. According to a press release, 100 percent of event net profits benefit City of Hope.
