Five years ago today, baseball fans across the Pacific Northwest were shocked and saddened to hear of the sudden passing of the Seattle Mariners original Hall Of Fame play-by-play announcer, Dave Niehaus.
Since Niehaus died during the off-season, it was not until April the following year that the Mariners could give the voice of the M's a proper tribute in front of an Opening Day crowd at SafeCo Field. The ceremony was highlighted by a then little known local rap artist by the name of Macklemore.  The official video to his song "My Oh My" has been seen by over 17 million on YouTube.com
