This one is NOT going to look good on us when the Rapture comes.

The Damson Dene Hotel in Crosthwaite, England has just yanked the Gideon Bible out of all 40 of its guest rooms.  And they've replaced the bibles with . . . copies of "Fifty Shades of Grey".

The hotel owner says, quote, "Tonight millions of women will be curling up in bed with a good book and you can bet your life it won't be the Bible.

"This made me wonder about the sense of providing a book, the Gideon Bible, which no one reads . . . instead of a book which everyone wants to read."

As you'd expect, the hotel has been hit with a major flood of criticism.  As a sarcastic concession, the hotel, quote, "will keep a couple [bibles] behind the reception desk [in case] any guest . . . forgot to pack their copy."

Some of that criticism comes from Country star Gwen Sebastian.  When she heard about all this, her record label, Flying Island Entertainment,  sent copies of Gwen's new single "Met Him In A Motel Room" to the hotel.

"I've read and really liked 'Fifty Shades of Grey,' but I don't understand why he would replace the all-time bestseller with a popular bestseller," says Gwen.

So where is the tie between this story and her song?  "Met Him in a Motel Room" tells the story of a desperate woman contemplating suicide and changing her mind when she discovers the Bible in the drawer of the motel room.
