Newly crowded Miss America Kira Kazantsev has come under fire from critics questioning her talent?

She sang Pharrell Williams "Happy" while doing a cup routine similar to the movie "Pitch Perfect."

She wanted to send a message to future contestants that they can perform whatever talent routine they like.

I'm confused by the uproar. She sang ... that's a talent for the Miss America competition, but because she added the cup they have a problem with the routine?
