Are There Back-to-School Jitters at Your House?

It's back-to-school time in my household ... which means putting together school supplies and picking out that first-day outfit.

As my kids and I sit at the kitchen table putting together their school supplies, I talk to them about going back to school and if they are nervous.

I know from my childhood that the first day of school can be stressful and scary. I don't want that for my kids!

I strive to make sure that my kids' life is completely different than mine and that they are well rounded little people.

When I asked them what they are nervous about they both said nothing with a puzzling look on their face. Why I would ask such a question?

They have a ton of great friends who have never bullied anyone and stick up for each other! It made my heart feel relived knowing that they feel safe.
