Are You Friends With Your Significant Other on Facebook?

A friend of mine on Facebook recently asked an interesting question:

Ladies, what would you think if the man you loved, lived with and ate your cooking refused to friend you on Facebook? But high school friends and family were OK?

And yes, she’s talked to him about it. He thinks it’s a huge time waster. She’s talked to him about it over and over, but to no avail.

At this point it seems the more she’s pushing the more he’s just not going to do it. It’s a control thing now.

I would try to reverse it around on him. Stop asking him to friend you on Facebook. Maybe mention something about a conversation you had. Don’t give a lot of details just a little teaser, then hit him with … well if you and I were friends on Facebook you could find out the rest of the story. And leave it at that … say no more.

You may have to do this a few times until his curiosity kills the cat, so to speak.

What do you think she should do? Keep pushing? Drop the subject?
