Yo!!! Name's D-Rez, I've been in the radio biz in Yakima for 10 yrs. I'm an enrolled member of the Yakama Nation. I graduated from Wapato High School, Class of '04. Besides being on radio, you can see me through out the community either at a pow wow, walking somewhere, on a comedy stage, or in a parade. I'm an entertainer of all sorts. Miss Yakama Nation Pageant 2017 [Pictures]

On Monday (June 5) the Yakama Nation kicked off its Treaty Days commemoration week with the Miss Yakama Nation Pageant. This is where the current Yakama Nation royalty spoke about their reign -- from Miss Yakama Nation, Chrissy Jim, all the way down to Lil' Miss Yakama Nation Treaty Days Princess, Tehy LoveAnn. The pageant also included the introduction of the candidates vying for whichever title they are going for.

The 35th Annual Cultural Unity Fair At Wapato [VIDEO, PHOTOS]

On Thursday (March 30), students and staff at Wapato Middle School put on the 35th annual Cultural Unity Fair (CUF). The event brought in many people from the community, who formed lines at various food booths. Needless to say, everyone who showed up came with an empty stomach.

Yakama Nation Treaty Days 2016 [VIDEOS]

On the weekend of June 10-12, the Yakama Nation commemorated the Treaty of 1855. A brief history note: The treaty was signed on June 9, 1855. The tribe is the biggest reservation in Central Washington, with 11,000-plus enrolled members and situated on 1.1 million acres. The weekend kicked off with a parade in Toppenish and a softball tournament. The Pow Wow was in White Swan.

Yakama Nation Commemorates The Treaty of 1855

The Yakama Nation is commemorating the Treaty of 1855 today through Sunday (June 5-7).

I'm an enrolled member of the Yakama Nation, and we all live in an area rich in culture --
including my favorite: the food. I would like to invite everyone to come to the Rez and enjoy this weekend's events in White Swan, including the Pow Wow, where you can find me! Or the rodeo. There are also softball tournaments planned in Toppenish.
