John Riggs was born and raised in Yakima. He moved away from Washington state for about 10 years, but moved back home, bringing along his wife and three kids. You'll find John in town snapping photos when he's covering new business openings, especially restaurants. He loves to help spread the word, and to encourage folks to shop local first. John also loves to travel, always looking for quick weekend getaways, attending events, and fan expos around the country. Don't be too shy to say, "Hi!"

Some of the most talented people in our valley are found at our local high schools. I had the chance to watch 'And a Child Shall Lead' as performed by the IKE Players and it was a fascinating and wonderful performance.
Not only the acting and even a little singing (though this is not a musical) but the stage design was top notch...

Walmart Cracking Down on WA Customers Doing This and Getting Away With It
Walmart is a pretty popular store. When I tell people I'm from Yakima, my usual quote is, "It has a population of about 100,000. It's big enough to have two high schools and two Walmarts."
Though many shop at Walmart for a variety of reasons, there's one thing that Walmart has been letting slide for a long, long time now that you may be surprised next time you go in there that what has w
