Rik Mikals

I’ve been up and down the radio dial as the famous "WKRP in Cincinnati" line goes. I started right out of high school in 1988 in my hometown of Clarkston, Wash at KCLK-FM, a country station, and from there moved all over Idaho, Montana, California and Washington state at various radio stations. I worked on KMPS-FM in Seattle in the late 1990s and moved to Yakima in 1998 as program director of 107-3 KFFM. I moved again and again (because I can't seem to keep a job) until I was in Bakersfield, California, and then Tri-Cities, and then back to Yakima, and again to Tri-Cities as morning show host and brand manager of 98.3 The Key. I bought a farm in Prosser a few years back with my wife Megan and we sold it last year and we now live in Kennewick. We have three great dogs named Phoebe, Barkley and Roxy. My son is an aspiring musician and plays, performs and writes original music. I also have a stepson named Kyran who is just starting high school. I’m known for having a never-ending knowledge of pop culture and easily get addicted to TV reality shows. I like "Star Trek," Mustangs (the car) and '80s music which is the era I seem to be stuck in. I’m also a huge comic book fan, having a comic collection easily totaling more than 6,000 comics with some rare comic books thrown in for good measure.

Happy 90th Birthday To Bull Listener Vivian Williams [PHOTOS]

Michele and I love our listeners -- especially Vivian Williams of Prosser.

I don't recall when our paths first crossed, but I think she's been calling this particular station for over 15 years.

I think Vivian came over to listen to The Bull when the legendary "Hutch" crossed the street from Yakima's other country music station.

Vivian turned 90 over the weekend, and I thought I'd surprise her and drop in on her birthday celebration.

How Much Would You Pay To Meet Your Favorite Celebrity? [POLL]

Michele was in Las Vegas last week to see Britney Spears as an anniversary gift from her husband. I don't know what he spent on the tickets, but I know that he got some great seats and went the extra mile and supposedly paid a small fortune.

He didn't realize that as much as he'd already spent, it didn't include backstage passes to meet Britney. I asked Michele why she didn't go backstage and she said that it would cost an extra $1,500.00!
