The General Lee is taking a long drive to remember a family member of Hazzard County! God Speed..Peggy Rea.

Actress Peggy Rea died Saturday February 5 at her home in Toluca Lake, California as a result of congestive heart failure at the age of 89.

She was born March 31, 1921 in Los Angeles. Rea made her television debut in 1953 on “The Lucy Show” where she appeared in four shows. She had a long television acting career, appearing on such show like “Have Gun Will Travel”, “Ben Casey”, “Hazel”, “Dr. Kildare”, “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.”, “Wild Wild West”, “Mission: Impossible”, “Gunsmoke”, “The Red Skelton Hour”, “Marcus Welby, MD”, “All in the Family”. Peggy was best known for her part of “The Waltons” as Aunt Rose and as the “Dukes of Hazzard” as Lulu Hogg (Boss Hogg’s wife), and recently as Jean Kelly on “Grace Under Fire”.
