Carrie Underwood is starting a new Christmas tradition with her son Isaiah — and it's a pretty sweet one!

The country superstar showed fans on Instagram that making Christmas cookies is her and Isaiah's new holiday activity. She shared an adorable photo of her 2-year-old son sitting in his high chair, decorating a beautiful Christmas tree cookie covered in red sprinkles, plenty of green and red M&Ms and a dollop of yellow frosting that serves as the star on top.

"Made Christmas cookies with the little man today. I actually don’t think I’ve ever made Christmas cookies before but this will definitely be a new tradition in the Fisher household!" the singer writes, adding that her son is definitely a fan of frosting.

Underwood keeps her young son out of the spotlight for the most part, but has shared a handful of loving moments on social media, like when they had a precious sing-along in the car and celebrated his second birthday with an amazing Cookie Monster cake. She's also captured some charming moments between her husband Mike Fisher and their son, such as when dad gave his son his first horseback riding lesson and when he skated over to his little one to give him a puck during a Nashville Predators game.

The "Something in the Water" singer recently co-hosted the CMA Awards for the tenth year in a row with Brad Paisley, delivering a powerful rendition of "Softly and Tenderly" during the broadcast that brought Bridgestone Arena to a standstill honoring the lives lost in 2017, including the victims of the mass shooting at the Route 91 Harvest Festival.
