Downtown Summer Nights was, naturally, a hit this week (June 22). What a blast! We had so many people there it was incredible! And every direction I turned, there was someone with a Seahawks jersey, T-shirt or even shoes. Seahawk fans are everywhere, even in the middle of the summer at Downtown Summer Nights. But when someone paints a $45,000 truck with everything Seahawks-related, it takes pride

Shane Smith brought his Saints, and some of Yakima's best sinners showed up to listen Thursday night. And with perfect weather and amiable crowd, North Front Street felt like heaven for the second program of the 2017 Downtown Summer Nights season...

For the first time since early June, we can't look forward to our favorite Thursday night gathering, Downtown Summer Nights. Sadly, the free concert series on North Front Street ended up last week. But we still have our memories -- and one of our fondest is listening to Yakima's own Zach Hinson and his band, who closed out the summer with a dynamite set.
