Michele and I were talking on the air this morning about memories of cruising the avenue as teenagers. She's from Gleed so she had to cruise Yakima Avenue back in the day instead of cruising Gleed's mean streets, and I'm sure her hair was teased high, rocking to Bon Jovi.

I was ten years old when Mount Saint Helens exploded. It was May 18th, 1980 and a perfectly blue sky became darkened by ash and soot within hours. My family was on a fishing trip in Idaho and we turned around and headed home for safety.
