Yesterday, "Good Morning America" did a report on whether the popularity of "Fifty Shades of Grey" is causing a BABY BOOM.

Which is obviously ridiculous.  The book didn't become popular until about four months ago . . . at least not popular enough that it could cause a population-wide change in the birth rate.

But that's why we go to "Good Morning America" for cooking tips and vacuous celebrity interviews, not biology lessons.

Regardless, they DID hit on an interesting idea.  Come February, when the nine-month gestation period has actually arrived, we just MIGHT see a "Fifty Shades of Grey"-inspired baby boom.

The book has sold more than 20 million copies, and has basically been PROVEN to spark couples' sex lives.  So early next year, get ready for some hardcore birthin'.
