If you're like us, you had a pretty intense 1991-style crush on Alisan Porter, better known in our kid-memories as 'Curly Sue.' What ever happened to her?

She became a babe, that's what.

Porter grew up in  Worcester, Massachusetts, and has been singing and performing since the age of three. Her mother was the dance coach of Diane Klimaszewski & Elaine Klimaszewski (you know them as the Coors Light Twins). In 1987, while accompanying her mother on a trip during the Coors girls' appearance on 'Star Search,' one of the producers overheard Porter singing in the hotel lobby, and put her on the next episode of the show. Post-'Curly Sue,' Porter moved to NY at the age of 18 and was cast in 'Footloose.' She went on to appear in several other shows, before relocating to the West Coast.

Today, Porter is the vocalist/guitarist for The Canyons, a band that calls themselves "a collaboration of artists brought together by a love of music and a fait of sorts." The band's goal is to create " a new sound for a generation in need of change." Check out their music and some more pics of Alisan below. The curls are gone, but we're still crushing.
