It's no secret that the Yakima Valley is ready for a Country Bar. I mean Country Music is the preferred choice here in the Yakima area. We are a rural community with country roots and we need a fun place to party. We thank you for listening to us here at the Bull as well.

I've worked for 92.9 The Bull over 12 years and I've been to every country bar up and down the valley. From the original Susie's at 56th and Summitview, and my buddy Dave Ettl and I have done our fair share of dancing and partying. I can remember Hill's Cafe where we used to host karaoke contests that were off the chain. I can still see Monte James (who's in Nashville now) singing a Man of Constant Sorrow with his fake beard, hey brought down the house. Fast forward to the past couple of years, we had the Double Barrel in Selah where I used to frequent after rodeo's and concerts.

Over the years all of these places have given me some great memories, but they have also all closed their doors. Now there is new hope for a new country bar and one of the guys behind it is the one and only Danny Austin. He is one talented guy and with Father's Day on Sunday we can't leave out the fact that his Dad is Sunny Austin (a great singer in his own right) gave Danny some good genes. Danny is a friend of  mine on Facebook and I saw that he was asking his friends about the name for his new place in Selah. Here is his post, what do you think? Throw out suggestions and we will pass them along to him and his people.
