Deployment is something that has effected a lot of families and most of us someone who as been deployed, including myself. However, as I am quickly learning when a close family member deploys the feelings and emotions you go through are MUCH different.

My older brother is leaving for deployment and it has dawned on me that I have completely taken for granted the ability to pick up the phone and call or Facetime him. I am now experiencing emotions I did not think I would have to go through, and although I trust my brothers training and his ability to lead it still makes me worried!

Do you have a deployment in your family? How did you handle the emotions and deployment as a whole? Or were YOU deployed? What did your family do or didn't do to help with your deployment?
