Elimination Of Route #8 & Modification Of Route #1
Due to low ridership, Yakima Transit is considering elimination of the #8 Lincoln/Summitview route and modification of the #1 Summitview/Lincoln route. The change to Rt.1 would involve ending service west of 72nd Avenue and adding service to Nob Hill Blvd. between 64th and 72nd Avenues.

A public hearing on these proposed changes will be held Tuesday, Sept.10, 2013, at 5pm at the Yakima Public Works Facility, 2301 Fruitvale Blvd, Yakima, WA to take public comments for consideration. Following the public hearing, a recommendation will be submitted to the Yakima City Council for a final decision on Oct. 1, 2013. Proposed changes, if any, are expected to go into effect between Nov. 1, 2013 and Jan. 1, 2014.
