Rock Your Way to 5K

Live bands and DJs help you "rock your way to 5K" in Yakima's Randall Park.
Runners and music lovers are invited to dress in rock attire or as their favorite rock stars.
Lunch and and a rock concert follow the run, along with an awards ceremony and other activities.
Registration is from 8-9:30 a.m., and the run begins at 10.
Three flights are planned:
Flight 1 — runners.
Flight 2 — joggers/walkers.
Flight 3 — walkers/strollers.
Kids can take part in a one-mile fun run at noon.
Costumers will be judged at noon, then it's time for lunch and the concert.
The event ends at 3 p.m.
Early-bird registration is $25 through July 6. Cost is $35 through Aug. 24 and $50 after that.
