I've done a few fad diets back in the day. Let's see, I've tried the Cabbage Soup Diet, Atkins Diet, Mayo Clinic Diet and one that didn't really catch on to anyone else but me, the "Energy Up, Woo!" diet.

I saw an article in the Yakima Herald-Republic last week touting the resurgence of fad diets in Yakima -- in particular, the "low-carb ketogenic" diet. I have no idea what that even is.

The article says the "ketogenic diet works by sending your body into ketosis." Do I even want to know what that means? It sounds painful. It sounds like it's going to send your body into some sort of paralytic shock. Yes, it sounds mighty dangerous to me, but if you're curious, check out this 14-day keto diet to see a sample of the recipes.

My days of doing fad diets are over. I am at a comfortable weight of one hundred and sexty pounds (oops, I meant sexy), so I'm content wearing my size-10 clothes.
