Fifth Graders Spent Their Snow Day Cheering Up a Sick Classmate In the Hospital

I LOVE this story!

On December 12th, 10-year-old Lauren Hacker found out she had cancer.  Since then, she's had chemotherapy and suffered complications, including high fevers and pneumonia.

Lauren was a patient at Omaha's Children's Hospital and Medical Center on Wednesday, when her school . . . St. Margaret Mary Catholic School . . . had a snow day.

About two dozen of her fifth-grade classmates decided to spend the snow day at the hospital, cheering Lauren up.

They couldn't all come in and visit her, so they wrote messages in the snow outside her window and made snow angels for her.
