Former Seahawks Safety and Godfather of the L.O.B., Kenny Easley Named as Hall Of Fame Finalist [PHOTOS]

The Pro Football Hall of Fame announced the finalists for enshrinement for the class of 2017.  Among the names, former Seattle Seahawks standout safety Kenny Easley.

Easley's promising career was cut prematurely due to e degenerative kidney problem. He retired from the NFL when he was just 28 years old. Many felt he was on a hall of fame trajectory before having to quit the game. His resume` suggests that those people were on to something.

Easley was named the AFC Defensive Rookie of the Year in 1981, AFC Defensive Player of the Year in 1983 and the NFL's Defensive Player of the Year in 1984.

The former UCLA Bruin was included in the Seahawks Ring of Honor in 2002 and was named the honorary captain for the team when they went to Super Bowl 49.
