Brad Pitt and Shia LaBeouf lead the cast of David Ayer‘s ‘Fury,’ which just released a first look at the film through a behind-the-scenes video for the E3 Conference. This production featurette is meant to get audiences excited for the action and the actors who make up the tank patrol in the film.
Our first look, which debuted on IGN, sees Pitt and LaBeouf joined by Jon Bernthal, Logan Lerman and Michael Pena on their tank, while ‘Fury’ focuses on their exhaustion as World War II is coming to an end. We also see in the featurette that the movie was shot on film (which is a plus for some of us), and there’s an eye for the practical. We have high hopes for ‘Fury,’ not only because the first look is aesthetically pleasing, but also because director David Ayer (who made a name for himself with the script for ‘Training Day’) is coming off the Arnold Schwarzenegger bomb ‘Sabotage.’ Hopefully the film serves as his rebound.
Here’s the film’s synopsis:
FURY is set at the very end of World War II, in April 1945. As the Allies make their final push in the European Theater, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy (Brad Pitt) commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Outnumbered and outgunned, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.
‘Fury’ is scheduled to hit theaters November 14.
