Garth Brooks Announces Tour Date in Saskatoon

Garth Brooks has announced his first concert appearance in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, in two decades. The country superstar and his wife, Trisha Yearwood, are slated to perform at SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon on Saturday, June 11 at 7PM.

The show is part of Brooks’ hugely successful World Tour, which hit the road in December of 2014 and could last for as long as three years. The concert run has seen Brooks selling out multiple nights in a number of markets, including Louisville, Ottawa and Las Vegas. Pollstar named Brooks the top touring country artist for the first six months of 2015, and he also ranked No. 1 on Forbes‘ year-end list of the highest-earning stars in country music in 2015 after taking in $90 million, most of which derived from his live appearances.

Tickets for the Saskatoon gig will go on sale Friday, April 29 at 10AM CT exclusively via Ticketmaster, or by calling Ticketmaster Express at 1-855-985-5500 or 1-855-985-5000. There is an eight-ticket limit per purchase to help combat scalpers. There will be no ticket sales at the venue box office or Ticketmaster outlets on April 29. All seats will cost a total of $79.98.

Brooks and Yearwood are currently at work finishing up a Christmas album, and after that he says he will turn his attention to a new studio album, the follow-up to Man Against Machine. He plans to share the making of the album with fans via social media.

"We're gonna bring you in on making this album … songwriting sessions, everything from recording,” he revealed in a recent Facebook chat. “It’s gonna be a blast.”
