Joel and Ethan Coen's upcoming movie 'Hail, Caesar!' has not only landed a distribution deal with Universal, it's also netted Coen vets George Clooney and Josh Brolin to star in a tale of Hollywood and the tabloids of the '50s.

Deadline broke the news and also point out that the comedy will be about Eddie Mannix, a man who fixes celebrity scandals for the studios. It's unknown which of the two performers will play Mannix, but it could be a good role for either (one imagines that the other will play a successful but scandalous performer of the period).

Though Brolin was already on a roll by the time he appeared in 2007's 'No Country for Old Men,' his work in that Best Picture-winning Coen brothers movie definitely elevated his profile as a serious actor, so it will be nice to see him get to play a little lighter in one of their comedies (Brolin was also in their 2011 'True Grit' remake). Clooney first worked with the Coens on 'O Brother Where Art Thou,' and starred in their films 'Intolerable Cruelty' and 'Burn After Reading.'

Though no release date is set (we'd guess late 2015), 'Hail, Caesar!' is already high on our list of most anticipated upcoming releases.
