Golden’s Gone!? Women Around The Northwest Are Heartbroken Today

You could hear the sounds of grieving when Seattle's Golden Tate inked a 5 year deal with the Detroit Lions. In fact my Facebook news feed was blown up with different comments on Golden Tate's free agency departure. My fiance wrote "My little football heart is broken!"

I know that Tate said shortly after the Superbowl that he wanted to stay in Seattle and he was willing to take less money, but he seems to have been lured away to Detroit with a lot of money and a chance to capitalize on a stellar year of stats with the Seahawks.

Details about his contract were not disclosed but ESPN is reporting that the 5 year deal is worth $31 Million with $13.25 guaranteed. Either way it's a sad day for Seattle fans and there is now doubt he will be missed.
