Halloween Parties and Events in Yakima – Our Top Five
With Halloween comes all of the fun Halloween parties. There's always something for everyone, all age groups of all sizes and all types of Halloween parties ranging from old fashioned corn mazes to costumed parties at local bars. Here's a quick list of events you have the option to check out.
HalloWine in the Rattlesnake Hills
HalloWINE is a themed weekend in the Rattlesnake Hills featuring artist-carved pumpkins, harvest soups, chocolate, costumed staff, and new releases. The treats at many wineries are special discounts on wine and/or treats for visitors dressed in costumes. Wineries are open from 10am-5pm with a few open until 6pm. No charge - complimentary to the public. Wine tasting is the perfect way to spend Halloween day! Purchase a $10 Passport at any of the wineries for special discounts and tastings!
Haunted Depot and Train and Pumpkin Run
10 Asotin Ave in ToppenishToppenish offers two fun events. One is their pumpkin run on October 29th from 10am - 4pm. It features a caboose ride, museum tour and free pumpkins for kids of all ages. For the older kids, there's the Haunted Depot from 6pm - 10pm. Ghosts, goblins, ghouls, blood and other scary things throughout the depot and railroad cars. They recommend ages 13 and older for this one.
Halloween Murder Mystery Dinner at Windy Point
420 Windy Point Dr. in WapatoYou've heard of those old 'murder mysteries', now you can take a part in one. They're very fun and interactive, like a live action, unscripted movie. On October 29th from 5:30pm - 9:30pm at Windy Point Vineyards, they'll have a four-course meal and solve the murder mystery. Cost: $85 per person. Price Point Wine Club members receive a 15% discount and High Point Club members receive 20%. Wine pairings with each course included in cost. Haunted Trolley
3rd & Pine in YakimaThe Halloween Trolley is on Saturday, October 29th, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, Yakima kids can stop by the Yakima Valley Trolleys office on South Third Ave at Pine street. Tickets are only $3. Wear your costumes and arrive early. The ride is half an hour long and is a fun way to set yourself in the Halloween mood with a special, historical ride in the Yakima Trolley.
Yakima Farmer's Market
The final day of the Yakima Farmer's Market is October 30 which becomes the Halloween Market. It's your last chance to pick up your farmer's market items before the year's end. Since it's a Halloween market, feel free to wear a costume.
