How Early is Too Early for Trick-or-Treating?

What time is it appropriate to start trick-or-treating? We had a listener call and ask this question, and it got us wondering.

I suppose it's a personal preference, but I would make an exception for cute little kids. Little kids almost always get a pass.

Another question is how should kids act when they go trick or treating? I've seen a ton of kids -- after they were given a piece of candy -- ask for more. That's NO-NO.

Also, it would be nice if every kid said thank you. Either way we wish you a happy and safe Halloween.
