Eating out has become the norm with a lot of Americans. I can remember as a child when eating out was a treat and we maybe got to go once a week if we were lucky.

As a busy adult I find myself eating at a restaurant nearly every day. Time is money and I enjoy my sleep and it's much easier to go get breakfast and lunch than get up and prepare food. Or at least that's what I thought ... eating out can add up fast. If the average meal is $10, grabbing lunch five days a week adds up fast.

So the question is how often do you eat out in a week? Has it gotten more expensive over the years?
