How The Yakima 4th of July Celebration Comes Free to You – Mayor’s Blog

The 4th of July is almost here and I think in America we sometimes forget that everything comes with a price. We all appreciate and thank the men and women of the armed forces who fight and work 24/7 365 to defend our freedom whenever where ever. To celebrate that freedom also comes with a price and this years FREE 4th of July celebration would not be possible without Hapo Community Credit Union and our awesome sponsors. There is also a committee of volunteers who work their butts off to make sure that this celebration keep going year after year for free. Along with a ton of smaller donations from generous community members and a ton of in kind donations the 4th of July Yakima celebration keeps on going year after year. I would publicly like to thank everyone who has helped make this years celebration possible. The Fireworks alone are $20,000 and we hope you will come out and enjoy the Yakima Valley Sunshine at this years celebration!
