Do the hard tasks first
We all have things in our day that we don't really want to do. Do the tough tasks first and get them out of the way, you will already feel accomplished by completing the difficult tasks first.

Take your own time seriously
You've only got so much in each day and you shouldn't waste it, schedule in travel time and time to just regroup and think and plan out your day.

Carve out space in your schedule for people you care about
It is so easy to get lost in the rat race and the people who get left behind are the ones you care about the most. Make time to call your wife or girlfriend just to say hello. Don't let your schedule run you...you're in charge of you time and it's ok to say NO!

Maximize your mornings
I never used to be a morning person, but learning to get up a little early has caused me to become more productive. Now I start the dishwasher and laundry before bed and then unload them in the morning. Plus getting up with your spouse is they way to go, you can make breakfast while she gets ready and that will pay off for you later on if you know what I mean and I think you do.

Keep the long-term goal in sight
The most productive people are working towards a goal. Once they accomplish that goal they set a new goal and achieve that the cycle continues.

Actually stop multitasking at home
Technology is good and bad. Your email now comes to your phone but at what cost? When you clock out actually clock out, your work will be there tomorrow. Focus on your precious family time in the evening, and stay of your d&*m Facebook too.

Sweat the small stuff
Big successes come from a combination of small success. Being on time and performing consistently is what is going to take you to the next level in your career.

Remember that face time counts
Nothing beats face to face communication, if you want to make an impact on someone then show them by communicating in person. People love to see the whites of your eyes, it lets them know you still care.
