Is flirting cheating when you're in a relationship? I suppose we've all been guilty of flirting at some point in our lives. At times you might not even realize you're doing it (although these would be very rare occasions).

The first step in answering this question is to define flirting. The dictionary says it's to "behave as though attracted to or trying to attract someone, but for amusement rather than with serious intentions."

Amusement rather than serious intentions, huh? And we wonder how things happen when we walk down the amusement path so quickly. It's up to you to keep it from getting "serious."

I'll admit that I like to flirt, but I enjoyed it more in my younger years when I didn't know what I was doing. (They say all the fine things are wasted on the youth, right?)

It's human nature to be attracted to certain types of people and personalities and a little flirting is healthy for your own self-confidence. But if you truly flirt for amusement and enjoy someone's personality and in turn conversation and don't have ulterior motives I wouldn't consider it cheating. Let's be honest, you already know the answer to this question. You know where the line is and when it's been crossed. So have a little fun and keep yourself feeling alive, but don't wreck your marriage over another attractive personality.
