Is it Odd to Wear a Ring to Keep from Getting Hit On?

It all started because she would get hit on a lot when we were out together trying to have a good time. She thought that by wearing a ring, then guys would not approach her because she was married. It seems to have had the opposite effect … she is getting hit on more!
Is she the only girl who does this?
