There's a new clothing item on the dress code chopping block in a North Carolina school district ... skinny jeans.

This has me a little perplexed. Skinny jeans completely cover your body. There is no skin showing with skinny jeans or leggings.

But the New Hanover County School District is including leggings in the skinny jean dress code ban. The proposed ban wouldn't limit them outright, but would require that students wear a top or dress that covers their posterior area entirely.

The school district says they were partly moved to amend the dress code due to alleged bullying of "bigger girls" in tight jeans.

I'm sorry, but the reality is that kids will always find something to tease each other about. The school is going to have to implement uniforms with cargo pants and polo shirts for all students.

What do you think?
