It’s ‘Not Just a Farmers Market’ in Zillah This Weekend

So what if summer's pretty much over? We can still get out and enjoy the sunshine and sample the goodies at local farmers markets for a few more weeks.

But in downtown Zillah this weekend, it's "Not Just a Farmers Market." Nope, it's the 14th annual celebration of an event that includes music, entertainment, food, children's activities and more than 30 vendors.

So from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, and from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, look for The Morning Bull-Pen crew out in Zillah having some fun. We'll be broadcasting live, so stop by and say hello. Rik's there Saturday, I'm there Sunday and Cefus ... well, you know.

Here's the schedule and some of the attractions:

• A local dance school kicks things off with a performance at 9 a.m. Saturday.
• Gone Fiddling Again starts playing at 10 on Saturday.
• Saturday's karaoke contest starts at noon (register by 11:30).
• Bounce houses and face painting continues all weekend.
• Eats include kettle corn, pulled pork sandwiches -- and the Zillah FFA's cooking up hamburgers.
