Back in June when tonight's 'CMA Music Festival' special was recorded, country star Jake Owen was barely a newlywed -- but he still made time to stop by LP Field to sing 'Barefoot Blue Jean Night' for the gigantic crowd. With the entire crowd waving their hands along to the beat, Owen put on a rocking singalong performance.

'Barefoot Blue Jean Night' proved to be the perfect anthem for a warm summer night in Nashville. Some fans slow danced together to Owen's love song, while others were too busy cheering to stop for a dance.

Looking cool, calm and collected in an embroidered button-down shirt and blue jeans, a barefoot Owen had no trouble getting through the fast, rhythmic portion of the song without any slip-ups. The soulful love ballad went off without a hitch -- the only problem was that it seemed too short for a huge audience that was so into the song.

Despite his fan-favorite summer-themed country tunes, Owen wasn't nominated for a 2012 CMA Award this year. But he's probably not too concerned about that right now -- the singer is anticipating becoming a daddy, as he's expecting a little girl in November.
