The legacy of one of country music's royal families is about to grow by one. John Carter Cash and his wife, Ana Cristina, are set to welcome their first child, a baby girl, in September.

They revealed the news to People magazine, sharing a video in which they learn the sex of their baby by cutting into a cake decorated with pink and blue flowers, with the words “Baby Cash” and blue and pink question marks. The couple both exclaim, "It's a girl!" when they see the pink icing inside the cake, and all of their guests burst into applause.

"My wife Ana Cristina and I are so blessed to announce a new addition to our family," 47-year-old Cash says. "We are grateful to all of our friends and family for their continued support."

"We are so thrilled that God is blessing us with a precious little girl," 31-year-old Ana Cristina adds. "My husband John Carter and I are completely over the moon about the news and we can’t wait for the arrival of our baby daughter."

The couple married in October of 2016, and this is their first child together. Cash has three children from previous marriages; two sons, 11-year-old Jack Ezra and Joseph John, 21, as well as a 15-year-old daughter, AnnaBelle.

Cash is the only child of country icons Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash. He is also a singer-songwriter in his own right, as well as a noted producer whose projects include working with Loretta Lynn on her forthcoming new studio album, Wouldn't It Be Great, which is set for release in August.
