Kane Brown and Camila Cabello may have a hit bubbling with their collaboration on her song "Never Be the Same," but they've never even met!

"We’ve just been liking each other’s Twitter," Brown admits with a laugh, speaking to Taste of Country Nights. "We were supposed to (FaceTime) the day I recorded (my part of “Never Be the Same.”) She had stayed up for a photoshoot 'til 5AM, so she was asleep. And I don’t blame her. I would sleep, too."

Brown tells ToC Nights' Sam Alex that he hopes to finally meet Cabello — who is currently on Taylor Swift's Reputation Tour — at the Billboard Music Awards this Sunday (May 20), as they're both attending.

"I'm going to the Billboards and (Cabello is) performing," the country singer says. "I hope to get to meet her."

6 Forgettable Country Crossovers

Whether or not that meeting takes place, the night looks to already be a good one for Brown. Not only will he be attending the event alongside his fiancée Katelyn Jae, but he will also be there as a triple-nominee for Top Country Artist, Top Country Album, and Top Country Song for "What Ifs" featuring Lauren Alaina.

Other country music BBMAs nominees hoping to come home with a trophy include Chris Stapleton, Sam Hunt, Dustin Lynch, Florida Georgia Line and 2017 Taste of Country RISERS rising star Brett Young. Maren Morris will also be on hand to perform "The Middle" with her other-genre collaborators, Zedd and Grey, at the awards show.
