The parents of some Casper, Wyoming kids were treated to an unexpected surprise while inspecting their children's candy following a trick-or-treating outing on Halloween night. Amid the Skittles, M&M's and Twix bars, parents were surprised to find Trojan condoms.

To make things worse, Jacqui Brown, the mother of two little girls, was horrified to see her daughter attempting to unwrap one of the condoms in order to eat it.

In an email to Casper's K2 Radio, one grumpy granny expressed an appropriate level of anger about the situation:

Did you know someone in the Centennial Jr. Hi - Summitt School area was putting condoms in little kids treat or treat bags last night? Apparently Fargo ND has nothing on Casper when it comes to tacky, inappropriate Halloween treats. My great granddaughter was trying to unwrap and eat this inappropriate treat before her mother realized what she had.

Irate Grandma, a.k.a. Edith Bennett, joined me for an exclusive interview about the unexpected prophylactic that her two granddaughters, ages 5 and 9, received:

Now, I don't care who you are, this is just plain inappropriate.

Against the law? No.

Is there anything that can be done? Unfortunately, unless one of the girls remembers the offending house, there is no way to determine the source of the condoms. Though, if the person who was handing the condoms out truly believes that passing birth control out to toddlers and 'tweens is appropriate, then perhaps we can look forward to hearing from them.

If nothing else, this serves as an important reminder for parents - check your kids' candy before you allow them to enjoy the well-earned spoils from a night of trick-or-treating.
