Kristin Chenoweth In Seattle In May
Kristin Chenoweth has the trifecta of talents: She can act on film, she can act onstage, and boy can the girl sing. Now, the Emmy and Tony winner, who was also inducted into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame, is gearing up for a 19-city tour to support her September 2011 country album, ‘Some Lessons Learned.’ The tour will kick off May 9 at Seattle’s Paramount Theatre and will wrap June 24 in Chenoweth’s hometown of Broken Arrow, Okla.
This tour marks the first for the Sony recording artist, who has made a name for herself performing in the Broadway shows ‘Wicked,’ ‘Promises, Promises,’ ‘You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown’ and more, as well as making television appearances on shows like ‘Glee,’ ‘The West Wing’ and ‘Pushing Daises,’ among others.
Though she hasn’t spent any time touring as a recording artist (yet), this isn’t the first record Chenoweth has put out with her label. In fact, ‘Some Lessons Learned’ is actually the fourth studio album the multi-talented songstress has released with Sony. On this tour, she says she’ll be performing songs from her latest record, as well as a mix from the Broadway shows she’s been a part of.
Chenoweth co-hosted the 2011 American Country Awards with Trace Adkins, where she dedicated her song ‘I Didn’t’ to an ex-boyfriend, quickly gaining rapport with the audience and winning over tons of women who could relate. The singing actress will also appear in the upcoming television show ‘GCB,’ which premiered March 4 on ABC.
