It's been a dozen years since a young man from Youngsville, N.C., began capturing national attention with his rich musical style and his compelling, from-the-heart songwriting.

Since then, Jason Michael Carroll has produced three top-40 hits, hit No. 1 on the American country charts, and opened for Brooks & Dunn, Trace Adkins and Alan Jackson. He's also toured with Carrie Underwood and Martina McBride, and performed on "Good Morning America," at the CMA Music Festival and the Grand Ole Opry.

And now he's coming to Yakima. This weekend (Sunday, Dec. 4), he'll perform an all-acoustic show at The Seasons Performance Hall, following an opening set by the Yakima Valley's American Honey.

In advance of the local show, he'll be visiting with our own Kelly "Wild, Wild" West by phone during Friday afternoon (Dec. 2) shift.

Join her starting in the 4 p.m. hour when she talks with Jason about his haunting and enduring hit, “Alyssa Lies” (see video below), how his new music is going and what Yakima can expect when he hits the Seasons this Sunday.

Tickets for the show are still available at Brown Paper Tickets, incidentally.
