We can thank researchers at Purdue University for helping men and women around the U.S. get a second date. Not sure why they are studying this subject, but we're not arguing with the results.

Purdue's study involved 125 people who were on a first date. Researchers gave half of them a sweet drink and asked them if they thought the date might turn into a relationship.

All of them said yes!

The other half of the subjects got water ... and the results were markedly different.

Those who drank the sugary drinks said they were more interested in going out on a potential second date. They were also more positive about the prospects of a future relationship.

We couldn't be more thrilled about the results. The only problem we see is taking out a lady who's dieting and doesn't want to order desserts.
