Maggie Rose Announces Plans for Two ‘Variety Show’ EPs
Maggie Rose is getting ready to release not one but two new EPs.
Rose will release her EP set in two parts: The Variety Show -- Volume 1 will be released on April 8, and the second installment, The Variety Show -- Volume 2, is set for release at a later date.
Rose has been making a name for herself among Nashville's up-and-coming artists due to her melding of pop melodies with a touch of gospel influence and a whole lot of country flair.
"The words I apply to myself are ‘dynamic’ and ‘intentional," Rose says (quote via That Nashville Sound). “Often times, artists are encouraged to focus on one genre, but that’s not for me. I want to experiment. That’s how I grow ...
"I want to perform all over the world," she continues. "My proclivity is to step out of my comfort zone every day. That’s how I learn, by breaking my own barriers. That’s why I feel, for the first time, that I can really be an artist I was meant to be.”
Rose's most recent single, "Broken," is available for purchase on iTunes.
In March of 2015, Rose got engaged to her longtime boyfriend, Austin Marshall, at a concert at the Bethesda Blues and Jazz Club in Bethesda, Md. The Maryland native was playing a sold-out show, with many friends and family in attendance, when Marshall surprised her onstage.
