Reports are coming in that seem to confirm that Seattle Mariners ace right-handed pitcher Felix Hernandez is about to become the highest paid hurler in professional baseball history.
The USA Today's Bob Nightengale says that the Mariners and 'King Felix' are going to finalize a seven-year $175 million contract before Spring Training begins next week.

Hernandez's new contract would surpass the seven-year, $161 million deal C.C. Sabathia signed with the New York Yankees before the 2010 season as the richest contract ever for a pitcher.
