He's almost as tall as me, and today is his first middle school dance. Where in the heck has time gone?

My little baby, Jack, is a seventh-grader, and he's off to his school's Halloween dance today.

I could tell last night that he was a little anxious. He decided that he didn't want to wear his Halloween costume, but wasn't sure what to wear instead.

I told him that he would probably get hot if he was dancing around. He wanted to wear something that looked nice, but was comfy. He settled on a nice pair of jeans with a short sleeve shirt along with his pullover. He informed me that his plan was if he got hot he would take off his pullover.

I told him to have fun at the dance. Dance as much and as crazy as he wants. Don't worry about what other kids think of you because in the end it doesn't really matter.
