Today I had the opportunity to tour the new Eisenhower High School. Superintendent Dr. Elaine Beraza led our group around the giant structure which is expected to open for school in a little under two weeks.

There are so many different features that the new school offers to future students and I was blown away by how much work has gone into making this one of the premiere learning facilities in the area. Congratulations to the Yakima School District on this huge accomplishment, I know Jim Wright and a ton of others have been working hard for over 2 years to see this project through. The students are the center of attention in this building and I kept hearing that on the entire tour. It's all about them and their learning experience.

I even saw one of the contractors who is from Yakima and found out that most of the workers come from our city. There is too much to explain so I will let you see for yourself.
