It's kinda common sense that when you see utility workers near a road you use a little more caution, right? Well soon, you'll be required to move over or slow down, or else. According to KIMA, starting on June 7, the new Washington law will require you to move over or slow down for utility workers.

Right now, the law protects emergency vehicles on the side of the road, but officials say it's important to extent the law to these employees. You might want to start getting in the habit of doing this right now, because if you fail to move over or slow down you can face a fine of up to $1,000 and/or some jail time! I don't know about you, but it's definitely not worth it to ignore this law. Not to mention, people's lives are at stake! So, be safe and drive carefully.
