New York Teacher Is a Grinch — Tells Second Grade Students Santa Isn’t Real [VIDEO]

A teacher in Rockland County, New York may have to change her name to Scrooge after she told her second grade class at George Miller Elementary School that Santa Claus isn’t real.

Seeing as how that whole “naughty or nice” list helps keep kids in line for at least two months out of the year, parents were none too happy about the revelation, with one saying, “That’s horrible. That’s so untrue and it’s horrible.”

Another parent of a child in third grade added, “Oh, I would be so upset if that happened with my son.”

The teacher made waves by opening her mouth, but her superiors are choosing to keep theirs shut — the principal and the superintendent refused to comment on the matter.

Besides, everyone knows the question of whether or not the bearded man in the red suit actually exists was put to rest back in 1897. When a New York City newspaper received a letter from a little girl who asked about it, one of its editors famously replied, “Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus.”

It’s like some teachers don’t know a thing about history.
