SUV owner gets a ticket after thieves steal his wheels.

If you've ever gotten a ticket for something that seemed ridiculous to you, maybe you can sympathize with this poor guy from Chicago.

His troubles started when somebody stole his wheels and left his GMC Denali up on blocks on a street near his home. That's bad enough, but it gets worse.

Realizing he couldn't move his rig, the man called police to report the theft. An officer told him to leave a note on the SUV with the police report number so he wouldn't get a parking ticket.

But guess what? Later that morning, he got a ticket anyway!

"It's usually something you see in movies," the man's wife told DNAinfo.com. "It's crazy. I can't believe it happened. I'm disenchanted with city workers for not taking notice. We pay a lot of tax dollars, so you think they'd take the time to read the note."

Pretty bad, huh?
