President Barack Obama helped hold up a 12th-man flag Wednesday as the president honored the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks.

It was the Seahawks' first Super Bowl win and the team's first trip to the White House. The president praised the Seahawks defense, its teamwork and its fan base -- "the 12th man."

Seahawk Coach Pete Carrol spoke after the president, praising his team and telling the president that if he needs help on any special mission, his Seattle's "Legion of Boom' is just a phone call away. The Legion of Boom is the nickname for the Seahawks' vaunted secondary, led by Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas and Kam Chancellor.
